I was born in Kiel, Schleswig-Holstein (at the coast of the Baltic Sea), and I grew up further south in Westfalia.
Starting 1986, I trained as a fashion designer in Berlin and then co-founded a company producing fashion clothes with a label of our own.
I left the company in 2004. Since then, I have been working as a freelance artist. I present my works at various exhibitions, on my own as well as together with other artists, and you also find me at several art fairs and art markets that are held on a regular basis.
Here, above the roofs of Berlin, I create my collage pictures.
I use materials such as paper napkins, fabric, aesthetic wallpaper and real pressed plants that I order from all over the world. By means of various techniques, colours and pigments I then add some details and create transitions between background colors so that, in the end, the collage becomes a composition.
If a smile appears while looking at my paintings, this is the most beautiful recognition for me, because this is how I see my art, exhilarating and carefree and nevertheless touching something deeper.
It arises from the strong need, especially in our current time, to create something beautiful, as a little soothing break from the real world.
